A futile search | Juwon Ogungbe

It’s funny that it’s so easy to lose one’s way, in the search for validation.
On a personal level, the path was clear several decades ago. Keeping unsuitable company only succeeded in creating befuddlement.
A journey full of bending one’s body into countless contortions may have provided a hinterland and vocabulary, but eventually one realises it’s a no brainer that square one was the right place to be, the first time around.
Was the time spent on the scenic route wasted? Probably not, but the mindset needed to be realigned.
The heart knows when the soul is on the right spot.
