Change and acceptance | Juwon Ogungbe
It might not be the same for everyone, but there have been several moments when I have sensed deep down in my bones that life was about to change fundamentally.
I felt that sensation after listening with some colleagues to the UK government’s announcement about the lock down that we are currently living through. After hearing it, I did some shopping and when I sat on a bus, tears began to flow.
I knew instinctively that a chapter in my life was coming to an end. I didn’t bother to analyse or define any details, but I was aware that there were things I was going to miss being able to do.
Having been through the phase of mourning, now I am in the process of imagining what will come next
Perhaps it would have been easier if I had the opportunity to experience a less abrupt form of closure. Life goes on, in any case.
