Much depends on where value is placed in a mindset or worldview. Personal experiences belong to each individual. Anyone involved in telling stories or mentoring is likely to derive benefits from being curious.
Material possessions can be accrued, but they can also be frittered away, stolen or eventually passed on to future generations who will have no idea regarding the price paid to amass them by the original owner.
