Reserving the right to morph | Juwon Ogungbe

In a similar way to animals shedding skins, it is possible to morph imperceptibly from one state of consciousness to another.

The process of doing so is usually personal, so fellow wayfarers might not be aware of subtle changes in motion.

An actor once complained about a director who wasn’t vigilant enough during rehearsals. Character development had gone through several stages and suddenly the performer was asked to retrace her steps, back to where she had been a couple of weeks before.

One shouldn’t expect friends, relatives, colleagues and associates to keep detailed tabs on personal transformation, but we should aim to be open minded about changes we see in those we are close to.

You never know when you might want to do some morphing for yourself.
