There is a lot to said for individual will power, but perhaps even more to be said for destiny.

Humility helps us to learn lessons as we journey through life. Is there any other means of becoming wise or enlightened?

Human beings are often faced with choices and decisions. In many ways, any credible definition of freedom would allocate room for us to deal with these.

There is a narrative that transcends any personal aims, aspirations or inclinations however. Some us like to regard this as the preserve of nature, the universe or a creator.

And so we move on. In the best case scenarios, we do our utmost to strike a balance between being humble in the face of destiny and doing as we please.
